In this awareness video, Rockies patrol Scouts Nyabondo High school & Jowi Designs , under the Youth Dialogue & Peace Initiative (YDPI), lend their voices to a simple but powerful message: peace is everyone's responsibility.

During the County Scouts Camp held from Friday to Sunday, the Youth Dialogue & Peace Initiative (YDPI), in partnership with Summit Trail Youth Organisation (STYO), engaged high school scouts and other young participants in impactful peacebuilding and dialogue sessions focused on leadership, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and peaceful coexistence. 💜🕊️
The sessions created safe spaces where young people openly discussed challenges affecting youth today, including bullying, peer pressure, discrimination, violence, negative influence, and poor communication within schools and communities. Through dialogue sessions, mentorship talks, teamwork activities, leadership discussions, and peer engagement, participants were encouraged to embrace tolerance, respect diversity, and become ambassadors of peace within their schools and communities.
The engagement also strengthened confidence, teamwork, leadership abilities, communication skills, and youth participation in peacebuilding efforts. Participants actively shared ideas on how young people can use dialogue and responsible leadership to create peaceful and united environments.
As part of the broader Youth Dialogue & Peace Initiative, the camp activities reinforced the important role scouting plays in promoting service, unity, leadership, and positive social transformation among young people.
Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are the peacebuilders of today. ✨

Through this workshop, scouts and young leaders came together to learn, share, grow, and inspire a culture of peace, responsibility, and positive transformation among youth. The Public Speaking Summit 2026 was more than just a competition — it was a platform where young people discovered the power of their voices, built confidence, nurtured leadership, and inspired change through dialogue and expression. From public speaking and debates to quizzes, spelling bee, and creative performances, students showcased talent, courage, teamwork, and critical thinking in an environment filled with learning, growth, and inspiration. The summit brought together young leaders, scouts, club members, and students passionate about communication, peace, and positive impact, proving that when young people are given a platform, their voices can truly shape the future. 🎤🔥🌍
