Today we say farewell to a titan of our nation, Raila Amolo Odinga — a man whose life was defined by a single, unwavering purpose: to give voice to the voiceless, to challenge injustice, and to keep alive the hope of a Kenya grounded in dignity, unity and democracy. For decades he stood in the face of power, rejected the easy route, took the harder path — not because he loved power for its own sake, but because he believed in a Kenya that could be better. 🇰🇪

He may not have held the top office in the ways he’d imagined, but his legacy is immeasurable: the return of multiparty politics, the push for our 2010 constitution, the idea that we each deserve a share in the promise of our country.

In his passing we mourn not only the man, but the endurance of his dream — and in that mourning lies a charge for the living: to carry forward his work, to be the generation that finishes what he began, to practice what he preached, even when the path is hard. May your spirit guide us, Baba. Rest well; your fight continues in us all.

"Service Before Self – Celebrating International Scouts Scarf Day with Purpose!"

Today, on 1st August, as the global Scouting community proudly dons their scarves to celebrate International Scouts Scarf Day, our troop chose to do more than just wear the scarf — we chose to live its meaning.

In true Scouting spirit, our dedicated scouts rolled up their sleeves and got to work, engaging in community service by cleaning and restoring a public handwashing station. From scrubbing walls and taps to ensuring the area is clean and hygienic for all, our scouts demonstrated the core values of duty, leadership, responsibility, and selfless service.

This day is not just about wearing the scarf — it’s about honoring the promise behind it. It’s a reminder that every scout, wherever they are in the world, is part of a movement committed to creating a better world through action, unity, and service.

To every scout out there: May your scarf always remind you of your duty to others and your potential to be a force for good.

Our scouts lace up their boots and set out on exciting hiking adventures — not just to explore nature, but to deepen their connection with the environment, build endurance, and strengthen their sense of unity and leadership.

Hiking is more than a physical activity in Scouting — it's a powerful tool for personal development. As they navigate challenging terrain, cross natural obstacles, and rely on teamwork, these young minds demonstrate resilience, responsibility, and the true spirit of brotherhood.

This experience aligns perfectly with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
🌍 SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – Promoting physical fitness and mental well-being through outdoor activity.
