Before schools reopened for the second term, our SmEaG girls came together for a heartfelt pre-term discussion — talking through their goals, challenges, and hopes for the term ahead. 💛

From setting personal targets to encouraging one another to stay focused, the session was all about empowering each girl to head back to school with confidence and purpose.

We show up for women and girls with disabilities — always. 💪
Our team was proud to participate in the two-day ICJ/UDPK ENABLE Project Capacity-Strengthening Session held in Kisumu on 28–29 May 2026 at Grand Royal Swiss Hotel.
Over the two days, we deepened our understanding of:
✅ Rights of women & girls with disabilities in Kenya
✅ Inclusive community advocacy — meeting people where they are
✅ Pathways to justice: courts, KNCHR, referral systems & documentation
✅ Challenging harmful gender & disability stereotypes through real community action
✅ Building alliances between OPDs, WROs & CBOs
✅ Validating the Draft Country Guide on Combating Gender & Disability Stereotypes in Law and Practice
These conversations matter. The knowledge we gained goes straight back into our communities — because every girl deserves to be seen, heard, and protected.

Recently, our community representative attended the local Youth Council meeting to champion our collective voice. The main agenda? Following up on the petition we submitted to the government regarding urgent waste management issues.
Here is what was covered:
🗑️ Community & Household Solutions: We discussed practical, everyday strategies we can adopt at home and as a neighborhood to drastically improve how we manage waste.
📜 Policy & Planning: We delved into waste management policies to ensure we are pushing for long-term, structural changes.
We are committed to a cleaner, healthier environment. Stay tuned for upcoming household waste management initiatives we will be rolling out soon!

we are grateful for having attended an incredible one day training on Communication, Documentation and Visibility. Method of capturing evidence based Report matters for our organization projects.

Secondly we learnt the reasons of evidence based reporting such as it prove the impact as a result of the activities using photos voice, testimonials e.t.c
Further more we were taken through photography for documentations & Visibility.
1 . Ethical in a respectful and moral way .
