The meeting aimed to share achievements, identify gaps, and evaluate project performance against set objectives. It also provided an opportunity for partners to exchange best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to delivering quality care for households with orphans and vulnerable children.

Today marks the start of the against gender-based violence. As a project, we remain committed to , especially against girls and women, who have been affected disproportionately in recent years.

With support from USAID Kenya and PATH Kenya, we work to strengthen GBV response mechanisms at both the community, health facility, and county levels. In FY24 alone:

➡️ Over 27,400 people were reached with GBV interventions, including post-violence care and assessments for physical and sexual violence; and
➡️ Healthcare providers received training to deliver quality post-violence care, enabling survivors to lead healthy futures.

USAID Nuru Ya Mtoto project works in close partnership with 7 county governments in western Kenya to increase access to HIV care and treatment for people living with HIV, support orphans and vulnerable children and their families, and engage adolescent girls and young women through the DREAMS initiative. Across all these efforts, the project integrates GBV response interventions to promote the well-being and dignity of every person.
