A BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE NYAUMBOH FOUNDATION
Founder and CEO: Ambassador Dr. Nyaumboh Ongeri
Location: Nyamira County, Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Magombo Ward
Introduction
The Nyaumboh Foundation was established in January 2018 in response to the suffering caused by jiggers and poverty in our communities. We recognized the urgent need to address various social issues that impact the quality of life for our people, including:
1. Poverty – leading to social discrimination and inequality.
2. Orphanhood – resulting in limited access to a decent standard of living.
3. Old Age – affecting individuals who are unable to work or care for themselves.
4. Unemployment – a significant challenge faced by many of our youth.
5. Diseases – contributing to high mortality rates within the community.
6. Jiggers – a persistent problem affecting health and well-being.
Driven by a deep passion to create positive change, I have collaborated with friends and partners to make our vision of a better society a reality.
Vision
To create a community that is habitable and inclusive for all.
Mission
To enhance the well-being of society and provide social care for everyone.
Objectives
1. To engage in charitable activities within our communities.
2. To find permanent solutions for eradicating poverty.
3. To implement mentorship programs focusing on health, sanitation, and education.
4. To educate and train youth in innovative agricultural practices.
5. To eliminate the prevalence of jiggers in our society.
Achievements
1. Conducted mentorship programs for our youth.
2. Collected and distributed both new and used clothing, including school uniforms, to those in need.
3. Organized Christmas and New Year celebrations for various communities.
4. Provided food assistance to families struggling to put meals on the table.
5. Given full and partial scholarships to school going children.
