Sometimes I feel like I have to show everyone that everything is okay, even when I’m not okay.

But I’m learning that I don’t have to pretend to be strong every moment. It’s okay to admit that I’m hurting, tired, or struggling. God already knows what’s in my heart, and I can bring my pain to Him without pretending.

Some say we should eat leaves and grass when food is gone. But we are not used to that as food. Even vegans seek the food they are used to, not meat-filled kitchens. The Lord said in Matthew 5:42: “Give to those that ask of you and don’t reject the one that wants to borrow.” It is not deceitful to ask—it is simply trusting God’s mercy through others.

Ministry carries a weight that is hard to explain to anyone outside of it. The needs are endless. The resources are not. And often you are the one everyone else brings their burdens to.

Paul's answer is not to carry it alone. It is to bring every one of those anxieties to God—and to do it with thanksgiving, remembering what He has already done.

Beloved friends, many times people are misled to put their support where the work of God is not being done. Yet the true ministry suffers without help. My prayer is that the Spirit of God will open eyes and hearts, so that support may go to the genuine work of the Kingdom. Let us not be deceived by lies, but be led by the Spirit to stand with the ministry that serves God faithfully. Your prayers and support are a blessing, and together we build for His glory.‘Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.’ (Galatians 6:7)
