Yesterday we marked World Mental Health Day at Mathare Depot through what we love most — football and conversations that heal ⚽💬

The day kicked off with exciting matches that brought smiles, teamwork, and unity, followed by an open discussion on mental health awareness and support within our community.

We’re proud to have partnered with Reach Community and Kenya Red Cross to remind everyone that it’s okay not to be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength. 💪💚

Today marks the first day of International Peace Week, and as Future Hope Response Team, we proudly joined hands with other organizations at DCC Huruma. Together, we set up tents and engaged the community through impactful counseling sessions, creating a safe space for conversations, healing, and hope.Peace begins with us, and through unity, dialogue, and care, we can build stronger and more resilient communities.

In the Future Hope Response Team, we are proud to have amazing and talented individuals who not only serve the community but also inspire us every day. Today, we shine a light on Barack Obuma one of our very own.
Barack starts each day leading Zumba fitness sessions, keeping the community energized and motivated. His passion for health and wellness reminds us that strong bodies build strong communities.
Beyond fitness, Barack is also a skilled MC, bringing life, energy, and connection to our gatherings and events.
Most importantly, he heads our Disaster Response Docket, a key thematic area of our work. Under his leadership, we have been able to raise awareness, respond, and equip our community with knowledge and skills to stay safe during emergencies.
We celebrate Barack not just for what he does, but for who he is , a true embodiment of resilience, passion, and service. Let’s continue to support Barack and the entire Future Hope Response Team as we remain committed to uplifting, empowering, and protecting our community.

They explored different flavours and techniques, pushing their skills to the next level.
