Caption / Short Story about baraka Junior Community School.
The photos show the learning environment at Baraka Junior Community School in Tezo Ward, a small community school currently serving 62 pupils — 32 girls and 30 boys. Most of these children are orphans and vulnerable learners whose families struggle to provide basic needs.
Despite their strong desire to learn, the school faces many challenges. The classrooms are inadequate, and the sanitation facilities are very poor, making the learning environment difficult for both pupils and teachers. In addition, many of the children come to school without food, which affects their concentration and ability to remain in school throughout the day.
Yet, in the middle of these challenges, the children continue to show hope, determination, and a love for education.
We share these photos to invite friends, partners, and well-wishers to join hands with the community in supporting these young learners. Support is greatly needed for improving classrooms, sanitation facilities, and providing simple school feeding program so that these children can learn in dignity and build a better future.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these 62 children.
