pening day in 2024. She attended Kilifi Destiny Institute College and has been working as a teacher for 6 years. FOUNDER/TEACHER: Stephen Sirya is a Kenyan citizen born and raised in Mombasa. Steve studied at Imara Teachers Training College. For the last 8 years Steve has been working at Barnabas Mission School and Orphanage Centre. Steve’s work allows him to support both education and the wellbeing of children, something he is passionate about. FOUNDER: Iain first traveled to Kenya in 2019 to volunteer at a local school, where he met Steve, a teacher with a vision for his community. Inspired by that dream, Iain helped co-found Kilifi Seeds of Hope Academy, and has continued working closely with Steve from Canada to support its growth. Our mission is to support less fortunate learners by creating safe and inspiring environments for learning. Every child deserves a chance to grow, dream, and succeed—no matter their background.
