What does it mean to truly belong?
It means standing together in moments that matter. It means weaving culture, compassion, and courage into one shared story. It means choosing not silence, but responsibility.
We therefore wish to extend our heartfelt invitation to you to be part of a cultural journey of Fundraising, Celebrating Heritage, and Empowering Communities. All collections will go directly to the Imarisha Scholarship Program, supporting bright but financially needy learners from Coastal Kenya to access secondary education and vocational training.
With gratitude in our hearts and hope in our hands, please join us as we journey together, building bridges of compassion, shaping legacies of courage, and lighting the way for generations to come. Every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and acknowledged.
The time is now. The moment is ours. Together we grow!

You are probably wondering... who is the captain of this ship that sails with courage into the vast ocean of service to humanity? Well… with immense pleasure, we present to you Ms. Elmina Mbeyu Magesho, the Executive Director of Imarika Foundation NGO. A visionary development practitioner, a relentless advocate for youth, and a leader whose strength is service.
Her story is not one of shortcuts, but of resilience. In 2017, Ms. Elmina walked through the doors of Imarika Foundation as an intern, eager to learn, serve, and grow. Step by step, she rose through the ranks, from intern to program officer, from program officer to senior manager, and ultimately to the helm as Executive Director.
This journey speaks volumes: it is proof that dedication, humility, and excellence carve pathways to leadership. Elmina embodies the spirit of Imarika, growing from within, proving that leadership is not given, but earned through service.
Alongside her professional rise, she fortified her academic foundation: a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from Maseno University, and now advancing her expertise with a Master’s in Project Management at Discover JKUAT. While her academic excellence has sharpened her compass, her resilience and vision have, over the years, propelled her forward.
Today, her heartbeat is for the youth. She mentors, empowers, and equips young girls and boys to rise as leaders, not spectators. She believes they are the wind in the sails of development, the force that propels communities toward dignity and transformation.
Her compass points boldly toward inclusive and sustainable development, resource mobilization that unlocks opportunities, partnerships that build bridges where walls once stood, and initiatives that ripple into waves of lasting change.
At Imarika Foundation, we are proud to sail under her command, a captain whose map is vision, whose compass is courage, and whose destination is lasting transformation.
From intern to Executive Director, Elmina Mbeyu Magesho is living proof that resilience, passion, and service can turn a journey into a legacy.

Were you aware that Strengthening to Achieve Youth Agency, Full Potential and Meaningful Engagement in Africa’s Dynamic Socio-Political and Economic Landscape stands as a generational mandate, urging us to act with courage and conviction?
For communities across Kenya’s coast, resilience is a lifeline, holding on to dignity, finding strength in adversity, and daring to dream of futures where equity is lived, not promised.
It might surprise you that youth inclusion and governance reforms are no longer distant ideals. They are unfolding here and now, reshaping how voices rise, how decisions are made, and how futures are secured.

When dignity storms into schools, silence shatters, and courage rises. This , Imarika Foundation NGO, in partnership with TAJI LANGU foundation, carried promises carved from justice, equality, and hope. At selected primary schools in Likoni Sub- County, we sat with learners and spoke openly about . We broke the silence, dismantled stigma, and planted seeds of confidence that will grow into futures unshaken by shame.
Our reproductive health talks were bridges, breaking down barriers of shame and connecting knowledge to courage. Our distribution of menstrual products was dignity placed directly into the hands of learners; a declaration that no girl’s education should be interrupted by her period. Our community solidarity was not symbolic; proof that empowerment begins with compassion and ends with justice.
Every pack was a shield of dignity. Every word was a spark of courage. Every learner was a revolution waiting to bloom.
This year’s theme, , reminds us that periods should never be barriers. They should be bridges to education, dignity, and equality. And together, step by step, school by school, learner by learner, we are weaving that world into reality.

If you’re reading this… You are part of a story bigger than silence. For generations, periods have been treated as shadows; hidden, whispered, dismissed. But shadows cannot erase truth. They only remind us how much light is needed.
Look closely… not at the stigma, but at the courage of a girl who dares to dream beyond shame. Look at the classroom seat she refuses to surrender. Look at the dignity she deserves, not tomorrow, but today.
Here is the truth… periods are not the problem. Ignorance is. Stigma is. Silence is. And this year, Imarika Foundation NGO, in partnership with TAJI LANGU foundation, is breaking that silence with action. On Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, under the global theme , we will reach 600 girls in Likoni and Nyali Sub-Counties, each receiving a 3-month supply of dignity pads.
You know that feeling… when hope arrives exactly when it is needed. That is what a dignity pack carries. Not just pads, but freedom. Not just supplies, but confidence. Not just care, but a promise that no girl will miss school because of her period.
We will gather in interactive health sessions, where myths collapse under truth. We will sit in peer mentorship circles, where courage is contagious, and voices rise together. We will place dignity packs in the hands of those who deserve more than survival; they deserve celebration.
Every pad is a promise. Every circle is a revolution. Every girl is a future unchained. Together, we are building a , not someday, but now. Because dignity delayed is dignity denied.
If you’re reading this… stand with us. Speak with us. Rise with us. The revolution is already here, and it begins with dignity.

WHAT DOES HOPE LOOK LIKE?
Hope looks like a child learning under the shade where once there was only the burning sun. Hope looks like pawpaw fruit in the hands of a hungry student. Hope looks like neem trees standing tall against drought, defying silence and despair.
Between 5th and 14th May 2026, Imarika Foundation NGO, together with Green Movement CBO, turned this vision into reality. We delivered 12,000 seedlings to 21 schools across Ganze and Kilifi North Sub-Counties. These were not just trees, they were shields, nourishment, and promises. 6,000 Neem trees to withstand heat, 4,000 Pawpaw seedlings to feed and sustain, 880 Chiva Berry, 500 Bird Berry, 500 Bead Pod, and 120 Cashew seedlings to restore biodiversity and provide future income.
This initiative reached 18,900 learners, 210 teachers, and over 20,000 community members. It strengthened environmental clubs, established nursery beds, and transformed schools into living classrooms for climate action. Every seedling became a lesson in resilience, every learner a steward of tomorrow.
Yes, we faced broken roads, scorching heat, and water scarcity. But we rose. Because hope is stronger than hardship, and resilience is louder than despair.
And we are not done. In July, we will monitor survival and growth. We will support schools with nursery management and water harvesting systems. We will train environmental clubs, launch school greening competitions, and expand across the Kilifi County Government and beyond.
Imarika Foundation, proving that hope is not abstract. It is planted, watered, and guarded. And even in the hardest soil, tomorrow can grow.

Not all roots stay hidden… some rise to feed nations. Cassava, once a humble crop, now stands as a symbol of resilience, business, and community power. On Friday, 15th May 2026, we gathered our dedicated cassava farmers for an interactive empowerment session. It was a morning of breaking barriers, sharing progress, and planting seeds of wisdom that will grow far beyond the field.
Guided by our Agriculture Officer from Kilifi County Government, the dialogue opened doors to value addition opportunities that elevate cassava from subsistence to enterprise, and market access strategies that connect smallholders to the wider world of trade and transformation.
This is a reminder that empowerment begins with dialogue, and that the future of Kilifi’s soil is written in the hands of its farmers. Together, we rise: from cassava to capital, from knowledge to legacy.

They say dignity is not a gift; it is a right. In the schools of Chonyi Sub-county, we turned that truth into action. Learners gathered not only to receive knowledge on and management, but to embrace confidence, courage, and hope.
Besides the lessons came dignity packs, symbols of care and equality. Each pack carried a promise: a promise that no girl should miss class because of her period. A promise that every learner deserves dignity, health, and opportunity.
At Imarika Foundation, we stand for communities where barriers are broken, where education is uninterrupted, and where dignity is restored. We believe that when health and empowerment walk hand in hand, futures are unstoppable.
And this journey is never walked alone. Thank you, ZanaAfrica, for standing with us, amplifying our mission, and helping us place dignity in the hands of learners. Together, we are weaving a future where every child rises with confidence, and every classroom becomes a sanctuary of empowerment. Because when dignity is shared, hope is multiplied.

They entered as students; they rose as visionaries. Our Imarisha Scholarship Class of 2025 top performers have shown us that when opportunity meets resilience, destiny awakens.
These are future doctors who will heal nations, engineers who will carve bridges across rivers and cities across horizons, teachers who will ignite the fire of knowledge, and leaders who will bend the arc of justice toward hope. Every grade they earned was a seed of transformation, watered by community belief and nurtured by Imarika Foundation NGO’s unwavering support.
We did not simply award recognition. We placed tools in their hands, tools that will echo in universities, laboratories, lecture halls, and beyond. These are weapons of destiny, forged for service, sharpened for impact.
To our scholars: your triumph is not a trophy to be displayed, but a responsibility to be carried. Walk tall, for you bear the hopes of a nation. Use these tools not only to succeed, but to serve.
At Imarika Foundation NGO, we remain steadfast: we fund education, invest in courage, and unlock classrooms. Remember this: we lit torches that will burn for generations and flames that will not be extinguished.
