From Kilifi to Nairobi, from Africa to the world, we stand united in a common aspiration: empowering every young person with the tools, opportunities, and confidence to rise above challenges and shape a future rooted in justice, innovation, and hope.
This year, we call on all youth to embrace their power, amplify their voices, and champion solutions that uplift communities; whether through economic empowerment, film and music, education, climate action, digital innovation, or grassroots advocacy. Together, we are Rising Winners; building bridges across cultures, breaking barriers of inequality, and lighting the path toward a brighter, inclusive today-tomorrow where every young person thrives.

On August 4–5, 2026, the Rising Winners Youth Empowerment Initiative, through the Her Space Project, convened a transformative two-day training across Kaloleni, Kilifi South, and Rabai Sub-Counties.
🎯 Objective: To actively promote gender equality and challenge entrenched norms, empowering adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to confidently assert their autonomy and rights.
💡 Day 1 Highlights:
• Foundations of AGYW gender equality and SRHR
• Exploring gender and power dynamics
• Mapping harmful norms and socialization
• Intersectionality and inclusion
💡 Day 2 Highlights:
• Rights-based advocacy and justice pathways with judiciary engagement
• Strategies for engaging parents, teachers, and religious leaders
• Designing grassroots actions for community transformation
• Accountability through community scorecards
This training reflects the Rising Winners Youth Empowerment Initiative’s deliberate investment in strengthening grassroots networks, expanding seeds of championship, and equipping community champions to drive norm-challenging advocacy—empowering not only but all across Kilifi County.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) is a priority demand for empowerment and for advocates of meaningful, ethical engagement of adolescents and young people across grassroots Kilifi County; especially in Kaloleni, Kilifi South, and Rabai Sub counties where we work.

Adolescents and young people, in all their diversity, deserve proactive support systems and safe community structures that nurture healthy growth through adolescence into young adulthood.
We call on Kilifi County Government to lead state and non-state partners in delivering Community-Driven Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). The rising cases of teenage pregnancies, new HIV infections, persistent sexual and gender-based violence; including femicide, and the growing menace of criminal gangs can be addressed if we prioritize the empowerment of adolescents and youth.
The first step is clear: Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Kilifi’s communities. Together, we can guarantee a safer, healthier, and more empowered future for our young people.

Peer-assisted referral to Community Health Promoters ( ) and health facilities is a powerful pathway for adolescent girls and young women ( ) to access comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services. This embedment, a great cost-effective approach into meaningful engagement of AGYW to Primary Health Care Networks, Kilifi County can:
