Meet Furaha Sylvester a proud graduate of Cohort 1. Armed with skills, passion, and determination, Furaha has officially launched her own small business! She is now serving delicious, fresh-baked treats door-to-door right in Bamba Town.

Seeing our participants take what they’ve learned in class and turn it into active income generation is exactly why we do what we do. Empowerment isn't just about learning—it’s about taking action!

Strengthening Partnerships for Community Impact!

Today, the Kickstart Kilifi CBO team and training participants had the honor of hosting Madam Rehema, the SHOFCO Facilitator for Ganze Sub-County, at our offices!

During her visit, Madam Rehema engaged with our team and participants, sharing invaluable insights on community empowerment, group growth, and the benefits of SHOFCO membership; from capacity-building 5-day training to sustainable monthly welfare support.

Collaborations like this continue to fuel our vision of equipping youth and local communities with the tools, skills, and networks they need to thrive.

🎂 Hands-On Learning in Action: Cake Decoration Day! 🎂

This week, our Baking & Pastry class took their skills to the next level! 🎨✨

Before touching real cakes, our participants built their technique, pressure control, and piping muscle memory by practicing decorative borders, rosettes, and lettering directly on cardboard templates.

Once they mastered the basics, it was time for the real test: baking and decorating their own full cakes today! 🎂🔥 From vibrant color blending to custom hand-piped designs, the focus and creativity in the room were unmatched.

Our Baking & Pastry trainees are back at it, and today’s lesson is all about one of the ultimate; crowd, pleasers-Pizza Pollo (Chicken Pizza)! 🍗✨
