It’s officially launch day for our 13th annual Back-to-School Challenge! 🎉

We’re thrilled to kick off this year’s campaign and partner with our incredible donors to raise $185,000 for TKP students! Your support will help meet the needs of 2,405 students across 17 schools as we continue expanding access to education.

Together, we can:
👉 Equip classrooms with new technology and supplies to make learning more interactive
👉 Provide competitive health and welfare benefits for our teachers
👉 Fund enrichment programs that keep students engaged and excited about school

🎉 Cheers to 13 years!

This Monday, we’re launching our 13th annual Back-to-School Challenge with the goal of raising $185,000 to expand support of our students and teachers.

Every dollar raised over the next few weeks will help fund core classroom materials, STEM curriculum, competitive teacher salaries, and more! Over the last twelve years, our donors and supporters have helped us raise more than $2M during the Back-to-School Challenge, and we can’t wait to keep that momentum going. ✨

🎉 Cheers to 13 years! We’re only three days away from our 13th annual Back-to-School Challenge, and we’re looking for your help to reach our goal of raising $185,000.

Every generous donation will help support core student classroom materials, teacher health and welfare benefits, STEM curriculum, and more. Over the last twelve years, our donors and supporters have helped us to raise more than $2M and we’re excited to keep that momentum going. 📚

Funds will also go to:
✅ Expansion of 9th grade and full junior high curriculum
✅ Innovative classroom and enrichment experiences (field trips, e-readers, etc.)
✅ Ensuring well-being for all students including social/emotional counseling, health resources, and orphan care, and more.

Students at TKP have the opportunity to explore their interests and discover new passions through a variety of extracurricular activities, including scouts, dance, poetry, sports, and more! These experiences give students the chance to build important skills like leadership and teamwork, all while having fun and building confidence outside the classroom.

We love watching our students embrace these opportunities, discover what they’re capable of, and grow along the way. 💙

🚀 We've got a fresh new look!

Our website recently received a makeover, complete with a more visual layout, improved navigation, and an updated design that makes it easier than ever to explore all things TKP.

We spend a lot of time thinking through out we can continue to evolve and improve. These small but impactful changes go a long way! ✨

Our team recently had the opportunity to co-host East Africa Connect in partnership with Opportunity Collaboration, the Segal Family Foundation, The Action Foundation, Good Kenyan Foundation, and MAMA HOPE.

This exciting event was designed to bring together several organizations in a welcoming and relaxed setting with the goal of creating space for idea sharing, relationship building, and to explore new opportunities to create lasting impacts across East Africa.

We're grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to continuing the momentum from these conversations into the future!

✨ Students at our Intimigom campus enjoyed an exciting day of leadership activities last week! The celebration featured cultural dances, a career showcase where students stepped into the roles of professionals they admire (including doctors, teachers, and cleaners) and an interactive Q&A session that encouraged confidence and leadership.⁠

The day concluded with the crowning of Mr. and Miss Intimigom, recognizing students who exemplified outstanding leadership, character, and school spirit. ⁠

At each campus, blue vest student council members have the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills while serving their school community. From assisting younger students during lunch and leading morning assembly to helping keep their campuses clean, organized, and welcoming, these student leaders set a positive example every day.⁠

Leadership participation activities like these encourage students to take pride in their school, build connections with their peers, and develop important confidence, responsibility, and teamwork skills!

Access to quality education isn't guaranteed for every child. Yet one of the strongest predictors of long-term success is the amount of time a student spends in school. 📚

At TKP schools, 100% of our students complete their junior secondary education and continue on to high school.

By building a strong foundation early, students are more likely to stay in school longer and in turn, positively contribute to their communities in meaningful ways. An investment in one child's education can create a ripple effect that lasts for generations. We’re proud to be making a difference in the lives of Narok county children and families! ☀️

Success can be measured in many ways...from books read to nutritious meals served. But some of the most meaningful measures of success are the smiles and laughter from the students we support. 💙

When students enjoy coming to school, they're more engaged and more likely to actively participate in their own learning. While we're committed to helping every student achieve long-term academic success, we also believe that joyful experiences are an essential part of the journey.

Because the memories they make today are just as important as the milestones they'll achieve tomorrow! 📚
