INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS PUSHES....

The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted its first ever resolution on intersex persons’ rights (in 2024), urging countries to combat discrimination, violence, and harmful practices against intersex persons.
On the African continent, the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) has affirmed rights of people with intersex variations, calling non-consensual ge***al surgeries “irreversible consequences… similar to ge***al mutilation,” demanding their discontinuation.
