Taka ni Pato ("Trash is Cash") is a community empowerment organization that collaborates with residents of Nairobi's Kibera region. By providing structural organization, resources and marketing exposure, they enable local artisan groups who leverage creative recycling techniques to maximize product exposure. sidents themselves who understand the community's culture and the effective means to make an impact. They are part of a broader organization called "Carolina for Kibera", a pioneer of 'participatory development' aid.
