One of the greatest projects I have ever worked on in the last few years is the Reusable Sanitary Towel Project.
The idea was born during one of my donation drives when I was distributing disposable sanitary towels to school girls. Sadly, some of the girls shared their experiences of discomfort, irritation, and infections caused by some disposable products. That moment stayed with me deeply.
I went back home and asked myself: What can I do to create something safer, healthier, and more sustainable for these girls?
That is how the Reusable Sanitary Towel Project was born.
Today, our vision is to reach 18 schools across Kiambu County and support over 1,000 girls with safe, reusable sanitary towels that promote dignity, health, confidence, and uninterrupted education.
The project is currently valued at approximately KSh 500,000, and we are actively seeking support from Kenyan stakeholders, companies, partners, and well-wishers who believe in empowering the girl child.
One of the major challenges we are currently facing is operational and administrative costs, including transportation, outreach coordination, and documentation, especially with the rising fuel prices. Your support will not only help us deliver these reusable sanitary towels to the girls who need them most, but will also help sustain the logistics required to make this initiative successful.
Every contribution matters. Every girl matters.
Your support will be highly appreciated.
