Kogelo Julia Self Help Group (KJSHG) is a community based development initiative established in 2010 with the aim of training and conducting advocacy to improve the living condition of the rural Kogweno Oriang people of South Nyanza, Kenya. The project will address the problem of unemployment, high HIV/AIDS prevalence rate,narrow the gap between the urban and rural communities through the use of c
omputers as source of information, means of communication and gender inequity in Kogweno Oriang of Rachuonyo District, South Nyanza. The project is working directly with the youth and women in promoting sustainable training in entrepreneurship, nurturing of talents, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), advocate for human rights and HIV/AIDS free community. This integrated project/ programme intends to provide affordable and accessible lifelong skills and disseminate information on HIV/AIDS to the women, men, youth and the elderly.
