Being accountable in substance abuse recovery means taking responsibility for your actions and progress, often through support from groups or individuals. This accountability helps individuals stay committed to their recovery goals and resist the urge to relapse.

Pick an accountability partner whom you trust and is committed to supporting you throughout the recovery journey. Ensure you agree on how often you should check in with him/her.
