Built on the strong foundations of teamwork and discipline, HanneHowardFund Lenana (HHFL) is a Kenyan community-based organization that takes care of needy children from the slums of Lenana in Nairobi on matters concerning schooling, shelter, healthcare among other basic needs. Founded in 2006, HHFL has grown reaching out to over 130 kids. The children are taken care of and given a chance to enjoy

the same advantage with other kids who come from better backgrounds, transforming them into responsible young people who can make informed decisions in life. HHFL works directly with HanneHowardFund (HHF), a hands-on, grassroots Canadian charity that spends 6 months of the year working with the HHFL team and children at the project. What a beautiful gesture!
From Canada, Seb and his friend Ferris sold cookies to raise funds for HHFL here in Kenya, showing such big hearts and a spirit of giving.

It’s wonderful to see young people take the initiative to support their fellows who may not be as privileged as they. Every bit counts and their effort means so much to us.

We unveil our next winning fellow. Patricia Vihenda has completed her technical course in garment making and design at Don Bosco Technical here in Karen, Nairobi. We took her in when she was a pre-school toddler in 2007. She is now a fully grown lady with a focus on a bright life ahead. Go girl
