The construction of Bomas International Convention Center (BICC) water line stretching from Karen to Bomas is ongoing.

The entire line passes on the entire left side of the carriage way as it heads from Karen to Bomas. The water line has been placed on the road way-leave that takes cognisant of the future dualling of Langata Road.

To mitigate destruction of other infrastructure along the way leave, much of the excavation is being achieved by utilizing manpower instead of equipment.

Once complete, the line will equally boost water supply to Zone 4; Bomas and water connection along Langata road corridor and its environs.

In order not to disrupt water supply within Karen, Athi water works is constructing a 50,000 cubic tank at the Karen round about adjacent to the Karen water offices to stabilize water supply.
