This Mazingira Day, KLDA is bringing the community together for our first ever Mazingira Day event and we want as many of you as possible to be part of it!

Join us on 10th October 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cottolengo Society of Kenya as we come together to plant, nurture and protect our environment.

This year, we’re planting fruit trees,trees that will continue to give back to the community long after Mazingira Day.

We’re calling on our members and the wider community to support this initiative. Your contribution will help us purchase the fruit tree seedlings and, importantly, provide the care and maintenance they need to grow and thrive.

Yesterday, the KLDA Secretariat led by the Chairman, General Manager Peter Kitavi and Railway Working Group representatives met Senator Okiya Omtatah Okiya Omtatah Okoiti to thank him for his legal support on the Riruta Ngong Railway matter and to discuss the next steps ahead.

KLDA remains committed to representing and protecting the interests of the Karen community.

Following a KLDA Utilities & Infrastructure Working Group meeting to discuss the various stormwater drainage concerns raised by members and Neighbourhood Associations, KLDA has engaged the Nairobi_citycountygovernment and NEMA Kenya on the identified concerns.

Ground visits have now commenced to assess the affected areas and follow up on the necessary action points.

Kenya Urban Roads Authority will be embarking on tarmac works on Bogani Road between Karen Road and Masai Road from Tuesday 15th to Friday 18th September.

As a result, Bogani road will be temporarily closed for traffic between these two sections to allow for the works to be carried out. Only residents along this section shall be granted access to their properties.

The road will be reopen for use on Saturday morning, 19th September.
