Today, KIYA had the joy of visiting a changemaker organization Sikom PeaceNetwork for Development an organization that has recently played a big role in nurturing young, grassroots initiatives like kiya at Komesi Women Network.

From thoughtful conversations on resilience to exploring ways of learning side by side, this visit was a reminder that we grow stronger not alone but with those who walk ahead and reach back.

We’re grateful for spaces that uplift, inspire and continue walking the journey of impact together. 💛

Today, Kapee Impact Youth Association- Kiya proudly marked World Environment Day at St. Mary’s Assumption with our incredible partners Jenga-Jamii and Oral Health Mashinani.

Together with the pupils,students, teachers and other staff we:
🌱 Planted trees to restore our environment
🧹 Collected plastic waste to fight pollution
👫 Engaged children and students in environmental education and action

👏 Big thanks to our partnersand the amazing staff and learners of St. Mary’sAssumption for being part of the change.

Today, our community came together in Kapushen for a successful cattle dip and vaccination exercise against Black Quarter. This vital activity helps protect our livestock, safeguard livelihoods, and boost animal health in our county.
