Vumilia

Vumilia Vumilia is a permanent home for 24 girls between the ages of 3 - 18. They are a family, headed by Mama Rose who founded the home.

Vumilia is a community based organization founded by Rose Ayuma Moon, Master of Social Work, and a group of women from her home community. The women came to Rose asking for counselling, and Rose responded by saying "I am tired of counselling people how to die, I want to counsel them how to live!" And so she does, along with a handful of the original women members who play a wide range of roles fr

om mother to home-based care worker, from motorcycle repair woman to sexual health educator. As founder and Director, Rose is the visionary, the operational manager, the fundraiser and the Mother. She is supported by "well-wishers" who share their money, time, positive thoughts and prayers with women and children in Kabras, Kenya.
