As citizens of this great nation, we must remember that the freedoms we enjoy today were not handed to us. They were fought for. In the 1990s, during the days of single-party rule, our political forefathers like Kenneth Matiba, Charles Rubia, and Raila Odinga stood up when silence would have been easier. On 7th July 1990, Saba Saba Day, they led Kenyans to protest against the Moi and KANU government, demanding multi-party democracy despite the use of force.

Their courage planted the seed of democracy. Because of their sacrifice, we now have the right to speak, to assemble, and to choose our leaders. As we gather today, let us honor their struggle by remaining peaceful, disciplined, and united. A peaceful protest is not a sign of weakness — it is a sign of a mature democracy. May peace prevail in every town, in every ward, including Kisa North, and across the entire Kenya

Levys Mboya A is a visionary Gen Z leader from Kisa North Ward with a heart for service. Immediately after completing his Form Four, he founded the Great Eshirandu Foundation through which he has built houses for the needy, provided food, and distributed clothes to vulnerable families. As the former Chairperson of VTRM in Kisa North, he united young people into small groups and supported them in income-generating projects such as chicken rearing and napier grass farming. His vision is to create a better environment for both the young and the elderly, not only in Kisa North but across Kenya. Now, Levys is looking forward to vying for the position of MCA in the next General Elections. Those who have met him call him "Omwami" — a true testimony of his servant of his leadership
