Throwback to our First Intergenerational Dialogue Event ✨

In December 2024, we hosted our first-ever Intergenerational Dialogue Event, a 2-day training and capacity-building experience that brought together girls, mothers and community leaders.

The sessions focused on key areas that continue to transform lives in our community:
⏩️Menstrual Health and Hygiene
⏩️ Financial Literacy
⏩️ Skills Development (including beadwork through the Ushanga Initiative)
⏩️ Gender-Based Violence referral pathways
⏩️ Digital Literacy supported by Ajira digital

These trainings played a vital role in supporting girls to stay in school, while also creating opportunities and restoring dignity for teenage mothers.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are even more inspired for what lies ahead especially the upcoming launch of our Kaplop Community Library 📚✨, a safe and empowering space for learning, growth and imagination.

We are deeply grateful to our amazing partners, local and church leaders, our supportive community and most importantly our incredible girls and mothers.

Your resilience and commitment continue to inspire our work every day ❤️

We love and appreciate you all so much!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today, the world marks International Women’s Day, a global moment to celebrate the achievements of women and girls while renewing our collective commitment to equality, justice, and opportunity for all.

First observed in 1911, International Women’s Day has grown into a worldwide movement that recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political contributions of women, while also highlighting the urgent need to dismantle barriers that continue to limit their full participation in society.

This year’s theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”, calls on communities, institutions, and leaders to take decisive action to ensure that no woman or girl is left behind.

Here in Kabarnet, Baringo Civil Society Organisations Forum (BACSOF) together with partners and community members will come together to commemorate this important day and celebrate the incredible women championing change across Baringo County.

📍 Venue: Kabarnet Social Hall
🕐 Time: From 1:00 PM
📅 Date: Sunday, 8th March 2026

The event promises to be a one of a kind commemoration featuring recognition of outstanding women leaders, powerful conversations on rights and equality, and a celebration of the resilience and impact of women in our communities.

Join us as we honour women who continue to break barriers, build peace, strengthen communities, and champion justice for all.

Let us rise together for a more equal and inclusive future.

Give to Gain: when we uplift women, we uplift society.

The Circle of Sisterhood brings sorority women together across affiliations to stand as one community to help remove barriers to education for girls and women around the world.

Why sorority women? Because together, we’re one of the largest communities of college‑educated women and we know our sisterhood can create real change. We believe sisterhood is powerful.

If you do too, give this post a like or tag a sister who reminds you just how powerful sisterhood can be.

Digital violence against women is real, harmful and widespread. Ending it requires men to speak up, call out abuse, challenge harmful norms and actively stand with women online and offline.

This , we call on men and boys to take responsibility, use their voices for good and be part of the solution. Silence enables violence. Allyship ends it.
