Beyond the Scale: Safeguarding the First 1,000 Days ♻️

At Nawiri, we believe a child’s health is the foundation of their future.

In partnership with the Departments of Health, across different counties of operation, we conduct comprehensive health screenings for children under five. We go beyond tracking height and weight; we identify developmental milestones and nutritional gaps early to ensure every child is physically on track.

Nawiri Child Development Programme (Nawiri CDP) is a dedicated humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) regions of Kenya, specifically in Marsabit, Samburu, Meru and Isiolo counties. Formed through the merger of four community-based organizations (CBOs), Nawiri CDP focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by vulnerable children, youth, and families in these underserved regions. Nawiri CDP is committed to fostering sustainable development by promoting child safeguarding, health, education, and resilience against socio-economic and environmental challenges.
