Queen of Peace Initiative is thrilled to have participated in an exchange learning visit to Narok County with 34 group leaders under our NELD Project. We extend our sincere gratitude to the CJRF for making this opportunity possible.

Beyond learning from our partners—Women in the Wild, Nteregesi Women Network, and The Tales of Our Land—on climate change and Non-Economic Loss and Damage (NELD), the trip fostered strong bonds between northern and southern pastoralist communities. Through interactions, cultural dances, sharing traditional foods, and being hosted by different families, we experienced true hospitality, unity, and connection.

This journey was more than a learning visit, and we have many valuable lessons and experiences to continue sharing.

As the world marks International Women’s Day, I recognize the women and communities affected by climate change, not only economically but also through invisible losses—stress, trauma, and mental health struggles.

In Northern Kenya, many households are grieving the loss of husbands, wives, and loved ones. Today, I honor the strength and endurance of women who continue to stand strong despite conflict and hardship.

Happy International Women’s Day to women everywhere. God is still alive, and He gives us hope. 💜
