According to survey done by Kenya Demographic Health Survey, it was found that 65% of school ladies and women can’t afford sanitary towels. This results into girls skipping classes, drooping out of school and engaging in risky and unhealthy behaviors in a bid to acquire money to purchase the product. Consequently, these lead to child labor, early unintended pregnancies and maternal mortality.
Many girls in our community face challenges managing menstruation due to limited access to sanitary products. This initiative seeks to support over 4,000 girls by providing essential hygiene supplies and educational sessions that promote dignity, health, and school attendance.

ICIPE Trains Golden Spot CBO Farmers and Learners on Smart Farming Innovations

Golden Spot CBO farmers and learners have successfully completed an official training conducted by ICIPE on Smart Farming Practices. The session focused on the adoption of new agricultural technologies, soil rejuvenation techniques, and the role of Black Soldier Flies (BSF) in environmental conservation and organic fertilizer production.
