Today, a delegation from Dadaab Environmental Concern (DEC) and African Child Development Organization (ACDO) paid a courtesy call to the Governor of Garissa County, H.E. Hon. Nathif Jama, at his office in Nairobi.

Our discussions focused on key community priorities, including community development, waste management, environmental protection, and strengthening collaboration with Dadaab Municipality.

We are grateful to H.E. the Governor for the warm reception and constructive engagement. We look forward to building stronger partnerships and advancing initiatives that contribute to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Dadaab and Garissa County.

Together, we can make a lasting difference in our communities.

Together with our counterpart, ACDO, we commemorated World Refugee Day on 20 June 2026 under the theme, ‘Until Everyone Is Safe’. The event highlighted our shared commitment to supporting and protecting refugees, while promoting solidarity, inclusion, and dignity for displaced communities.”
