Destiny development youth organization aims at preparing the young people to be innovative, visionally, healthy, productive, and engaged citizens in improving their living standards and their national economy. Destiny development youth organization is an organization that was formed in late 2011 and was registered under the ministry of Children, Gender and Social development in April 2012. The org
anization`s office is located at Kayole, Embakasi Central constituency in Nairobi county and currently operates from Mwangaza SDA Church. The Organization was formed to address the plight of youth undergoing difficult situations among them unemployment, HIV/AIDS and reproductive health issues. This was due to the fact that most youth became comfortable sharing their experience with their fellow mates. To date the organization has registered about 50 members with different issues. It has come to our realization that most youths are rich in entrepreneurship ideas which remain unachieved because majority of them lack mentors and couches to guide them as well as make them believe in their creativity and give them a chance to implement those ideas. As a result , most of them are desperate of jobs after college and are constantly moving from town to town to look for descent jobs which end up disappointing them , with this in mind destiny development youth organization intends to empower our fellow youths and make them believe in their dreams. To be a world youth organization that identifies itself with potentials in the youth and help them use these potentials to transform themselves and their society profitably. MISSION STATEMENT. MAIN OBJECTIVE. The main objective of DDYO is to eradicate poverty and empower the members financially by identifying the potential in the youth and using it productively while also empowering them with skills to counter their day to day challenges. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES. Eradicate poverty and empower our members financially by identifying the potential in the youth and using it productively. Empower youth with life skills that will help them in addressing their reproductive health issues. Promote a spirit of creativity and nurturing of ideas. Raise funds for start up of an income generating projects and create job opportunities for more than 50 jobless youths. Train youth on protective measures in order to realize AIDS free society
To nurture and promote the spirit of togetherness, mutual understanding and concern amongst the members and other people. Negotiate and lobby with appropriate NGOs and government institutions in pursuit of the goals of this group. Provide financial literacy to the youths on how to start businesses and nurture them to growth. Identify opportunity windows and start projects that provide various products and services to satisfy customers needs/needs of the society.
