A beautiful start to life 💕👶✨
Today we screened a precious one-day-old baby, and we are happy to share that the results were good. Early screening gives every child the best chance to grow, connect, and communicate. 💙👂

Every child deserves the chance to hear, communicate, and be understood.
Our journey begins with early hearing screening — because early detection can change a child’s future.
When a child needs further support, we connect them with an audiologist for a detailed assessment. If hearing loss is confirmed, we walk with the child and family through the next steps — including hearing aid fitting and speech and language therapy to help them find their voice and build confidence.
From the first screening to every milestone after, we are committed to creating brighter futures, one child at a time.

Countries with strong universal newborn hearing screening programs have seen a major reduction in the number of children needing specialized deaf schools, because hearing loss is detected and treated very early through hearing aids, cochlear implants, and speech-language therapy.
Some examples include:
* United Kingdom — More deaf children are now mainstreamed into regular schools after early detection and intervention. Several deaf schools have closed or merged over the years.
* United States — Over 95% of newborns are screened for hearing loss, leading to earlier diagnosis before 6 months of age and improved speech/language outcomes.
* Netherlands and Germany — Both countries have universal newborn hearing screening coverage above 90%, with many children integrated into mainstream education.
* Sweden and Japan — Early screening programs combined with advanced audiology and rehabilitation services have greatly improved inclusion in regular schools.
Key statistics:
- Around 1–3 babies per 1,000 are born with permanent hearing loss globally.
- Countries with universal screening detect hearing loss months or years earlier than countries without screening.
- Early identification before 6 months significantly improves speech, language, and educational outcomes.
