World Hepatitis Day 2026
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver that can be caused by viruses, alcohol, certain medicines and other factors. Viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis B and C, can cause serious liver disease, including cirrhosis and liver cancer, but it is preventable, testable and treatable. This World Hepatitis Day, under the theme “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down,” SANDANAA CBO encourages everyone to break the barriers of stigma, misinformation and limited access to healthcare by learning the facts, getting tested, seeking treatment when necessary, and protecting themselves and their loved ones. Let’s work together towards a healthier, hepatitis-free community.

Today, June 20th is World Refugee Day! On this day, we honor the courage and resilience of millions forced to flee conflict and persecution worldwide.
At Sandanaa CBO, we firmly stand to support and champion the fundamental rights of refugees, including their right to education, work, housing, safety, and freedom of movement.
Protecting refugees is a foundation for global stability. Today, we call on everyone to build empathy, eliminate discrimination, and promote peaceful coexistence in our communities.
Let’s stand together for a world where everyone, everywhere, has the right to seek safety and live in harmony.

The meeting focused on the need for more Youth participation in Politics and Governance, and the role of CBOs in Ethical leadership. In attendance were CBOs and youth leaders within Turbo Subcounty, Uasin Gishu County.

Congratulations Sharon Chepchirchir on your graduation from the D'square Training College as an Artisan in Fashion Design.

We met Sharon during our April 2024 Volleyball tournament at Kapsaos primary as she led the ladies' team.

The D'square Training College, which is a School of Fashion in Eldoret, had offered a Partial Scholarship for the most outstanding participant. Which was awarded to Sharon for her push to have the Ladies teams included in the tournament.

Sharon had completed her Highschool in 2019 but hadn't gotten a chance to join College yet.

We remain grateful to the management of D'square College for enabling us leave an Impact through sports and wish Sharon the very Best as she progresses through her career.
