Sports, art, and theatre are not just pastimes—they are powerful tools for shaping the future of our youth. They channel energy into purpose, creativity into expression, and ambition into something real. Most importantly, they help young people clarify a vision for their future while giving them something deeply human—the opportunity to feel seen, valued, and appreciated at a young age. And when children are genuinely appreciated, it leaves a lasting imprint on their lives.
Last year, Cynthia organized a countywide art and theatre initiative. This year, she is building on that momentum with football and volleyball. This is not just about sport—it is a deliberate, consistent investment in the potential of young people.
We often lament when youth get caught up in destructive demonstrations, but rarely do we pause to ask: have we created enough constructive spaces for them to channel their energy, talent, and voices?
This is what leadership looks like—opening doors, creating platforms, and believing in young people before the world does.
Here is a leader doing the work—quietly but powerfully—shaping a future for the youth that is bold, practical, and transformative.
Kudos, Mama County 👏
