Today, LOCORE CSOs Network joined other stakeholders in commemorating World Environment Day at Ol Kalou Arboretum, Nyandarua County. The event provided an important platform to promote environmental conservation, climate action, and sustainable community development.
During the celebrations, we also took the opportunity to publicize the upcoming Waru Festival 2026, which will be held at the same venue on 4th July 2026. The festival aims to celebrate indigenous potatoes, promote climate-smart agriculture, support local farmers, and strengthen community livelihoods.
We thank all partners, government agencies, community members, and stakeholders who joined us in making World Environment Day a success. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Waru Festival on 4th July 2026 at Ol Kalou Arboretum, behind Ol Kalou Stadium, Nyandarua County.
