Empowering Girls Through Financial Literacy

Empower Minds and Families Initiatives (EMFI) successfully conducted a budgeting and financial literacy training for adolescent girls to equip them with practical life skills for responsible money management.

The session focused on helping the girls understand the importance of planning their finances, distinguishing between needs and wants, saving for future goals, and making wise spending decisions. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and group activities, the participants learned how to prepare simple personal and family budgets that can help them make informed financial choices.

The training also emphasized that financial discipline builds confidence, promotes independence, and reduces vulnerability to risky behaviors that may arise from financial pressure. Empower Minds and Families Initiative (EMFI) proudly reached out to adolescent girls through a sanitary pads donation program aimed at promoting dignity, health, and uninterrupted education.

Many girls continue to face challenges in accessing menstrual hygiene products, which affects their confidence, school attendance, and overall well-being. Through this initiative, EMFI is committed to ensuring that every girl can manage her menstrual health with dignity and confidence.
