FAGIA TOWN INITIATIVE – NAMALE PILOT SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED

Today, the Busia Youth Empowerment Network (BYEN) successfully conducted its pilot Community Clean-Up Drive, Voter Registration Mobilization, and Civic Education Forum in Nambale Sub-County.

The initiative brought together hundreds of young people committed to environmental stewardship, democratic participation, and responsible citizenship.

We were honored by the presence of the Deputy Governor of Busia County Hon Arthur Odera and the Speaker of the Busia County Assembly Hon Fredrick Odillo, whose remarks greatly inspired and motivated the youth to take an active role in shaping the future of Busia County.

This pilot marks the beginning of a countywide youth engagement program that BYEN intends to scale across other sub-counties.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all partners, stakeholders, and volunteers who made this initiative a success.

Together we lead. Together we empower.

FAGIA TOWN INITIATIVE – Nambale Edition | 3rd April 2026

Tomorrow, the Busia Youth Empowerment Network (BYEN) will be in Nambale Town for a transformative youth-led engagement featuring:

✅ Community Street Clean-Up Drive
✅ Voter Registration (in partnership with IEBC)
✅ Civic Education & Public Sensitization

We have mobilized over 1,000 young people to take part in this initiative as we promote responsible citizenship, environmental stewardship, and active youth participation in governance.

This is more than an event — it is mentorship in action.
