TMF SACCO 2026 AGM.

We successfully held our inaugural Annual General Meeting on 4th April 2026 at the ARDAP Centre, Butula Subcounty, bringing together members from all walks of life in a powerful show of unity and commitment to shared prosperity.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, members actively participated in key discussions, including the presentation of the 2025 Annual Report by the Chairperson, Treasurer, and Supervisory Committee, alongside the Independent Auditor’s Report on Financial Statements.

A major highlight was the unanimous re-election of the current leadership team, led by Mrs. Gladys Onyango Orlendo, reaffirming members’ confidence in the SACCO’s direction.

We also celebrated our members with Women micro-traders received TMF SACCO branded merchandise. Best savers were awarded special gift hampers

The AGM was graced by the Chief Guest, represented by the Chief Officer in the Governor’s Office, Hon. Elijah Mwaro, alongside Marachi Central MCA Hon. Shadrack Masinde and Marachi North MCA Hon. Zacheus Kubasu.

With strong representation from youth, women, and PWD groups, the message was clear: TMF SACCO is a vehicle for inclusive economic empowerment.

Local leaders encouraged more members to join TMF SACCO and the Marachi Foundation as we work together toward a financially empowered community.

We sincerely thank our partners, invited guests and all our members for turning up in large numbers and actively participating in making this inaugural AGM a great success. Your commitment is the foundation of our growth.

TMF engaging Oloo Market Women and Namusala Women Microtraders on access to small business loans through TMF SACCO. The session focused on how women groups can strengthen the agricultural value chain as farmers and traders of final products. We were joined by guests from ADS Western, Irene Kubasu and Charles. The engagement also saw mass enrollment into TMF SACCO, facilitated by TMF Manager Elizabeth Mungala and Salesperson Shaline Nekesa, with TMF SACCO Chairperson Gladys Orlendo in attendance.

The Marachi Foundation (TMF) held a successful community engagement forum at Bukhalalire Chief’s Camp, Marachi Central, bringing together representatives of community groups, chamas, and village associations seeking registration under MSEA through the TMF umbrella.

Women savings groups, youth agribusiness teams, farmer groups, and micro-trader groups expressed strong interest in joining the TMF structure. Once registered, these groups will support TMF Investment Cooperative Society (TMF ICS) through agricultural value chain development, supplying raw materials and participating in the marketing and processing of products.

The meeting was organized by Hon. Patrick Obuya and facilitated by TMF Administrator and Manager Mrs. Elizabeth Mung’ala.
We were honored to be joined by, CDF Chair Mr. Hezron Namwaya and Benga University College representative

TMF SACCO Vice Chair Mr. Chris A Wanyangu who also serves as National Bank Manager Busia Branch, accompanied by a team from the National Bank of Kenya, encouraged community members to join TMF SACCO, either as associations or as individual members as part of TMF’s broader financial inclusion efforts.

Community representatives highlighted key areas where support is needed: health services, education opportunities, and agricultural development.

TMF remains committed to strengthening community structures for sustainable growth and empowerment.

The Marachi Foundation held a successful community engagement meeting with TMF PWD Association in Ibanda Village, Kingandole Ward, bringing together persons with disabilities, caregivers, and community representatives seeking to move with TMF mission of empowering the community through inclusivity measures.

Members discussed opportunities within TMF’s agricultural value chain programs, where PWDs will participate in raw material supply, value addition, and product marketing under TMF Investment Cooperative Society (TMF ICS).

The community emphasized the need for stronger support in health, inclusive education, assistive tools, and livelihood empowerment for PWDs.

TMF remains committed to creating inclusive opportunities that uplift and empower persons with disabilities across Marachi.

TMF engaged the TMF Bulwani Micro-traders Association in Elugulu Location for a community dialogue on economic empowerment and partnership in TMF’s value chains.

Facilitated by Mrs. Elizabeth Mung’ala, TMF Administrator and Manager, the meeting focused on identifying challenges faced by local traders ; including access to markets, certified inputs, and business training, while exploring collaboration opportunities with TMF SACCO and TMF Investment Cooperative Society (TMF ICS).

Through these flagship programs, TMF is supporting community members in raw material supply, wholesaling, and retailing, fostering collective growth under its umbrella of associations.

The Marachi Foundation (TMF) held a productive community engagement meeting with the TMF Ojuanga Juakali Association in Kingandole Location.
Facilitated by TMF Administrator and Manager Mrs. Elizabeth Mung’ala, the session aimed to gather insights on community livelihoods, challenges, and economic opportunities within TMF’s value chains of production.

Members were sensitized on TMF SACCO and TMF Investment Cooperative Society (TMF ICS), the Foundation’s key programs driving economic empowerment through savings, investment, and value chain participation.
Discussions centered on agribusiness ventures, addressing issues such as market access, affordable certified inputs, and farmer training for sustainable and high-yield production.

TMF Ojuanga members through their chairperson Mr. Dancan Okumu expressed readiness to engage in supplying raw materials for TMF ICS value chains in edible oil processing, rice milling, and composite flour production (cassava, maize, millet, sorghum).

Empowering Women in Enterprise!
The Marachi Foundation met with TMF Namusala Women Microtraders Association in a community engagement session led by the manager Mrs. Elizabeth Mung’ala.

Discussions focused on microenterprise growth over years as women in Marachi community, existing financial inclusion systems in the community, opportunities and linkages to TMF SACCO and TMF ICS for savings, access to credit, and business expansion through training of people in the informal sector in order to equip them with skills for income generation.

The association chairperson Mrs. Peninah Nawade encouraged members to continue registering and to believe in the TMF initiatives, noting how TMF is tackling barriers women face in trade and helping build stronger, self-reliant communities.

Community Engagement and Awareness.

TMF engaged with TMF Muguli Women Agripreneurs Association, under the guidance of Mrs. Elizabeth Mung’ala, to discuss how women can take charge in agricultural value chains through TMF SACCO and TMF ICS programmes.

The women shared inspiring ideas on cooperative farming, market linkages, and value addition ; showcasing the true power of women-led community-driven entrepreneurship.

Chairperson Mrs. Gladys Adiedo asked TMF to address community challenges facing women and open doors for women in agribusiness through our entreprises in TMF ICS. She also urged members to keep registering and believe in the TMF dream since its a community owned entity for everyone in the community.
