Who we are.
Abanyala Culture and Heritage CBO is a community based organisation formed on a foundation of revamping, reviving, preserving, conserving, and protecting the Abanyala culture, and its heritage by encouraging the Lunyala language fluency .

Our mission is to have a community deeply oriented in our culture and heritage for promotion of unity, respect, cohesion and socio-economic empowerment.

Our specific objectives are;
1. To gazette and maintain all Abanyala sacred sites and shrines.
2. To showcase Abanyala culture and heritage nationally and worldwide.
3. To promote the reading, and learning culture of Bunyala by establishing the digital literacy hub to aid the community in online services i.e. online trade, employment, and any other related services.
4. To collect, preserve, and conserve Abanyala artefacts.
5. To support and care for the vulnerable people in the community.
6. To co-ordinate the cultural activities with other stakeholders i.e. the government and non-state actors for partnership, monitoring, collaboration, networking, and financial support.
7. To co-ordinate and exhibit/celebrate the Abanyala festivals.
8. To exchange the Abanyala culture with other communities in Kenya and the rest of the world.
9. To preserve and conserve the indigenous forests to boost our forest cover and re-afforesattion challenges.
10. To embrace and promote the Abanyala cultural songs and dances.
11. To identify and nature talents among the youths of Bunyala.
