On 25th March we had the opportunity to celebrate cerebral palsy awareness month @ Bungoma paderiatic referral hospital 🏥. What amazed most was the Love showed to our loved ones. Thanks you sponsors, well wishers and all parents and caregivers present. The day ended with extra diapers distribution to admitted infanys at the Bungoma paderiatic referral hospital (annex)..
We urge more partners, sponsors, well wishers to come out in large numbers since we still lack many necessities eg. Medicine, assistive devices and a school to take care of of our children as we go out to hustle and build a better and brighter future...

Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month – March 2026
The Bungoma Cerebral Palsy Community invites members of the public to join in commemorating Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month on Wednesday, 25th March 2026 at Bungoma Paediatric Hospital Grounds.
This special event is dedicated to raising awareness about cerebral palsy, advocating for the rights of children living with disabilities, and promoting inclusion within our communities. It aims to educate the public, reduce stigma, and encourage collective support for families and caregivers of children with cerebral palsy.
The day will bring together children, parents, caregivers, health professionals, well-wishers, and community leaders in a spirit of unity and empowerment. Through awareness activities and engagement, the event seeks to inspire understanding, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all children.
Your presence and participation will help champion the cause and strengthen efforts toward building a more inclusive and supportive society.

National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day is celebrated on March 25th. The day was created in 2006 by Reaching for the Stars, a parent-run advocacy group.

We as Bungoma Cerebral Palsy community CBO opted to celebrate our beloved children on 29th of March @ Kimilili sub county hospital grounds.

How can you support:

Wear the color green to show support
Encourage support through social media and word of mouth
Donate to fund better care and more research
Recognize achievements of people with cerebral palsy
Create inclusive spaces for people with cerebral palsy
