The concept of "Smiling Depression"is a hidden form of depression where individuals appear happy on the outside but very sad, broken and struggling internally. Always check on your friends when you notice some changes in their behaviour.

There are still good people in this world.
This is an appreciation to one of my friends whose wish is to remain anonymous. Thank you very much for the generous donation of 4 office chairs to Edwama Cbo , which were well delivered this week. It feels good paying an impromptu visit to a section of the many women that we normally support on business and agricultural matters under our Organization. Discussed several issues and looking forward to a way of boosting their projects. It's all about Women Empowerment, and changing lives in a positive way. Dignified life for all.

In line with my recent interactions and involvement with the most vulnerable girls and women in the community, I have made several observations that need to be taken seriously.
1. They need capital for start up.
2. They need training on the suitable business to venture in.
3. They need support.
4. They need encouragement and mentoring.
5. They need people to promote their products and services.
We are training some on how to start small businesses and we assess their capability based on the initial stock given to them at the beginning of the business.

Happy and glad to have created time for what I love most_WOMEN EMPOWERMENT.
Visited these women in the local market and had a very good encounter with them on matters affecting their businesses. Most of them face challenges of lack of enough money to pump into their businesses and boost them. Others cited the scarcity of fresh produce from within the locality, leading them to travel long distances as far as Uganda, Tanzania and Embu to source for tomatoes, onions and oranges. We advocate for food security and try as much as we can to support these women stay in business, so as to be able to provide for their families.
