In partnership with Positive Life Kenya, a Kenyan NGO, we seek to Bring Accessible and Sustainable Community wellness to women and their families in slums outside Nairobi by establishing a preventative health and wellness center. ORGANIZATION MISSION
We aim to empower people to be active participants in their community and own health care. We do this by creating access to heal

th education and preventative medicine, engaging and training international health care professionals, and building human capacity and leadership of community health and social workers. POSITIVE LIFE KENYA:

I am excited to announce that my Mom and I are starting an organization called BASIC-Wellness Kenya!

B-ringing A-ccessible S-sustainable In C-ommunity Wellness to Kenya

Our mission is to support and fundraise for a Health and Wellness Clinic in Kicheko, a settlement just outside Nairobi. This project is in partnership with Positive Life Kenya, the NGO that I have worked with since 2013.

PLK runs a primary school in Kicheko Slum. The children love to perform songs for visitors.

Before or after every group counseling meeting, there is usually a song or dance. Despite everything these women experience, they have a contagious positive attitude and outlook on life.
