🌾 URGENT APPEAL: Feed to Save Lives 💔

Our feeding program has intensified as the drought deepens and the land grows bare. The grass bank has completely run out, and the pangs of hunger are now biting harder than ever.

What began as a feeding effort for sheep and goats has now expanded to include our cows, who are equally affected. The lactating mothers are in the most critical condition, their energy drained by lactation, leaving them weak and weary from the imbalance between high energy output and low intake.

The situation is dire, and with the weatherman predicting little to no rainfall, the outlook grows even more worrying. Our stores are empty, and from tomorrow, we have no feeds left. Without immediate support, our animals will soon struggle even to stand.

😭Another Heartbreak as We Lose a Second Ram😭

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are devastated to share that another precious ram, whom we rescued also, has been taken from us, so suddenly and so cruelly. He showed no sign of illness until it struck like lightning.

It began with sudden bloody diarrhea, rapid panting, belly kicking, convulsions, and within minutes, he was gone. The entire sequence happened so fast that we had no chance to save him. We administered emergency injections of both penicillin and Traxomed, but nothing worked.

🔬 Diagnosis
Our vet’s examination revealed soft tissue damage and hemorrhagic, inflamed intestines.

🦠 Cause
Both this ram and the first we lost succumbed to Enterotoxemia, “pulpy kidney disease”, caused by Clostridium perfringens types C and D. These bacteria, normally present in the gut and soil, can suddenly multiply and release deadly toxins, especially after dietary changes or overeating.

⚠️ How Deadly Is It?
Enterotoxemia is a highly fatal disease that, if left uncontrolled, can wipe out animals in devastating numbers within days.
Our disease mapping and tracking shows its cruelty firsthand:

•Just last week, a neighbor lost 18 animals in a single week
•Another lost 4 in one day
•Yet another lost 7 in just two days
This is how merciless and fast it strikes.

💉 Prevention and Control
