Why is NPO ABC Japan important for foreign communities in Japan?

Living in another country can bring many challenges: language, school, work, health, legal matters, documents, cultural adaptation and access to reliable information.

NPO ABC Japan was founded in 2000 to support Brazilian residents in Tsurumi, Yokohama, and today provides in-person and online activities for foreign residents in different areas of Japan.

Our mission is to help people find guidance, support and opportunities so they can live with more confidence and dignity in Japan.

ABC Japan works in areas such as:

• Education and school support;
• Japanese and Portuguese language courses;
• Legal orientation;
• Psychological and wellbeing support;
• Career and work-related programs;
• Multicultural inclusion;
• Free guides, manuals and useful information.

We believe that information, education and support can transform lives.

🌿 How Nature Improves Your Well-Being

Did you know that just 10 minutes in nature can improve your well-being?

In an increasingly fast-paced world filled with notifications, screens, and constant demands, many people feel tired, stressed, and mentally overloaded.

The good news is that nature can be a powerful ally for mental health. Studies from different countries show that spending 10 to 20 minutes a day in natural environments can help reduce stress, improve mood, increase concentration, and decrease repetitive negative thoughts.

And it doesn’t have to be anything complicated.
A walk in a park, a few minutes observing trees, or taking care of plants at home can already make a difference.

🌱 Caring for nature also means caring for our own health and quality of life.

When was the last time you paused to appreciate the nature around you?
