Alert Level 4
Hazard Warning due to Heavy Rain

An evacuation order has been issued for the following areas of Takaoka:

Fushiki, Kofu, Ota, Futagami, Moriyama, Ishizutsumi, Kuniyoshi, Akamaru, Nishigoi, and Goiyama.

Time of issuance by Takaoka City Hall:
August 27, at 7:00 AM.

Reason:
There is a high risk of landslides and other sediment-related disasters.

What to do:
Evacuate immediately. Everyone must head to an evacuation site or a safe location.

Evacuation sites:

* Futagami Regional Community Center
* Moriyama Regional Community Center
* Ishizutsumi Regional Community Center
* Archaeological Cultural Assets Research Center
* Satoyama Exchange Center
* Fushiki Community Center
* Kofu Regional Community Center
* Ota Regional Community Center
* Kirakukan

For people in other cities in Toyama: follow the evacuation instructions issued by your own local city/town hall. Do not assume that Takaoka's Alert Level 4 applies to your area.

Do not ignore alerts automatically issued by the notification system on your smartphone.

The Philippine Consulate General in Nagoya informs the public that all WALK-IN passport applicants (without online appointment) on 10 and 14 August 2026 shall be accommodated only in the afternoon starting at 02:00 PM.
Passport applicants with emergency and special cases are requested to send an email to [email protected] or call + 81 (0) 52 - 211 - 8811 prior to physically reporting to the Consulate.
