SCHEDULE OF PASSPORT WALK-IN APPLICANTS ON 10 AND 14 AUGUST 2026
The Philippine Consulate General in Nagoya informs the public that all WALK-IN passport applicants (without online appointment) on 10 and 14 August 2026 shall be accommodated only in the afternoon starting at 02:00 PM.
Passport applicants with emergency and special cases are requested to send an email to [email protected] or call + 81 (0) 52 - 211 - 8811 prior to physically reporting to the Consulate.

On this day in 1956, the Philippines and Japan normalized diplomatic relations following the entry into force of the San Francisco Peace Treaty and the Reparations Agreement between the Republic of the Philippines and Japan.

The Consulate General of the Philippines in Nagoya Invites You to Watch "Sun Chaser"!

The Consulate General of the Philippines in Nagoya warmly invites everyone to watch the premiere episode of the Filipino animated series Sun Chaser on YouTube:

Created by Bernard Badion and Bobby Pontillas, and produced by Toon City Animation and PlayLab Animation Studios, the series was developed and produced entirely in the Philippines.

Inspired by Filipino mythology, Sun Chaser showcases the creativity, artistry, and storytelling excellence of Filipino animators while highlighting the Philippines’ growing presence in the global animation industry.

The series earned international recognition by winning the Animation du Monde Prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival MIFA Pitches 2025.

Sun Chaser also features the voices of renowned Filipino artists, including Manny Jacinto, Liza Soberano, Eugene Cordero, and Charo Santos-Concio.

We encourage everyone to support this remarkable Filipino achievement by watching and sharing Sun Chaser with our fellow kababayans and friends in the Japanese community.

The Philippine Festival in Tokyo — Organized by the Community, for the Communities

Also known as the Philippine Christmas Festival, is recognized as the oldest and largest continuing Filipino festival in Japan, having celebrated its 28th edition.

History

Established in the 1990s, the festival was launched by the Philippine Assistance Group (PAG) together with the Filipino community in Japan. It was created to preserve and promote Filipino culture, strengthen community bonds among overseas Filipinos, and foster friendship and cooperation between the Philippines and Japan.

Purpose and Significance

The festival serves as a vibrant gathering that showcases:

Filipino culture, traditions, and heritage
Music, dance, and cultural performances
Filipino cuisine and local products
Community engagement and fellowship
The enduring friendship between the Philippines and Japan

For decades, the festival has remained a symbol of unity, celebrating the contributions of Filipinos in Japan while bringing together families, organizations, businesses, and supporters from diverse communities.

"Organized by the community, for the communities" remains at the heart of the festival's mission—creating a welcoming space where culture, friendship, and shared heritage continue to thrive across generations.
