The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary is a uniformed civilian volunteer organization to provide assistance to the PCG in the promotion of safety of life and property at sea, preservation of marine environment and its resources, conduct of maritime search and rescue as well as other activities that would enhance maritime community relations. The PCGA is Officially recognized under Section 11 of Republic Act Number 9993, Otherwise known as the PCG Law of 2009
