藪原神社は、天武天皇（在位：673－686年）がそのご在位の間、勅命により帝紀と上古の諸事を記録・確定させ、我が国伝存最古の正史である日本書紀の編纂を始める前の天武9年（680年、飛鳥時代）に、日本書紀の編纂の詔を受けた皇族の一人でもある三野王（みののおおきみ）が天武天皇の勅使として信濃国巡視を行った際、熊野本宮大社（和歌山県）より御分霊を勧請して創建されたのが始まりです。

後鳥羽天皇のご在位、源頼朝が征夷大将軍になり鎌倉幕府を開いた建久3年（1192年、鎌倉時代）に十王という地へ遷座され、後柏原天皇のご在位、永正8年（1511年、室町時代）に現在の地へ遷座されました。また御創建以来、「熊野社」、「熊野大権現」、「熊野大神宮」と社名が変わり、明治4年（1871年）に現在の社名に改称されました。

信州木祖からは折に触れて神域の様子を、パリからは日々の活動を、日本とフランスの二カ国からパラレルで投稿して参ります。
