CoDA's Twelve Steps

Excited for this coming Tuesday! We will be starting a 12-week dive into CoDA fundamentals, as we look closely at each of the 12 steps. So, this week we'll be starting with Step 1: We admitted we were powerless over others – that our lives had become unmanageable.

Important Info Prior to Attending:

1. Anonymity is key for the program to work, so please attend meetings in civilian attire. If in uniform, please remove you top coat/blouse prior to entry. First names only please.

2. This program is only for 18 years old and up. We kindly request no children attend as it could make open sharing challenging for other.

3. Due to the nature of our community, please assume there is always a MANDATORY REPORTER attending. Before the discloser of anything criminal (past, present, or intent of any abuse, mental, physical or sexual, or any other criminal acts as defined by the UCMJ and/or local laws) please speak with the group leader to help get you in touch with the right agency.

4. Respect is critical for the cohesion and flow of the group. respecting other's feeling, words, and boundaries is paramount. Sometimes there may be intense emotions in the room, if you find yourself getting agitated, step out and eat a Snickers.
