【EN】Mr. Agari whose father was interned in Siberia after the World War II, has devoted his life to research and interest in Russia and international politics. After working as a secretary for a politician, he is now continuing his research on famous local painter (who was also interned in Siberia) Yasuo Kozuki and Siberian internment, together with his like-minded. Through some interviews, we were finally able to hear some of his thoughts about his father.
【JP】お父さまが第二次大戦後シベリア抑留されていたという上利さん。その人生は、国際政治やロシアへの関心を中心に彩られてきました。東京で政治家の秘書を務められたのち故郷に戻り、現在は有志とともに、地元出身の有名な画家（同じようにシベリア抑留された）香月泰男やシベリア抑留に関する研究を続けられています。
これまで何度かのインタビューをとおして、今回ようやくお父さんについての想いの断片を耳にすることができました。

【A remark by the photographer and project organizer / 主催者付記】
Tomorrow will mark the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Through the Aokage Project, we have heard elderly people speak out against the atomic bomb and war in a natural way. This project is a symbolized record of the many other marginalized communities in Japan, as well as a reflection of the general Japanese people's direct memories of war, including aversion to the atomic bombing, and anti-war consciousness, which has been the motivation for our activities for the past 10 years.
明日で広島への原爆投下から80年。青景プロジェクトをとおし、高齢者の方々がごく自然に原子爆弾や戦争に反対する言葉を耳にしてきました。
本プロジェクトは、日本の無数の限界集落の記録を象徴するものであると共に、消え去りつつある日本人の戦争に対する直接的な記憶や（原爆への忌避感や反戦意識を含む）意識を映しだすもの。そのようにありたいしそのようにできればと考え、これを過去10年間の小さな活動の大きなモチベーションとしてきました。

【JP】和田さんは青景出身で、近隣都市の中学校で国語を教えていました。現在も、実生活はそちらで送りながら時々青景に戻るそう🤫
その理由は、実家の手入れをとおして、青景や美祢の自然を再発見したから。最近、Mine秋吉台ジオパークのジオガイドとして、秋吉台、特に青景や周辺地域の歴史に特化したガイドを計画・実施されているそうです。
【EN】Mr. Wada is originally from Aokage. She taught Japanese at a junior high school in a neighboring city. Spending her real life there, she returns to Aokage from time to time, but why? 🤫
The reason for this is that she rediscovered the natural of Aokage and Mine through her care to the parents' home.
Recently, as a geoguide for the Mine Akiyoshidai Geopark, she has been conducting guided tours focusing on the history of Akiyoshidai, especially Aokage area.

【JP】篠原さんは美祢地域で生まれ、現在、水質とその美しさで有名な弁天池の近くで家族と一緒に暮らしています。前職では事務職をされており、現在は弁天池の売店で特製のますをつかったバーガーや食品を自分たちのアイデアで制作・販売中です。

Mr. Shinohara was born in the Mine area and currently lives with his family near Benten Pond, famous for its water quality and beauty. She previously worked as an office worker and is currently working at a store next to the Benten Pond, where she and her colleagues create and sell food products and burgers using special trouts from the ponds, based on their own ideas.

Kagekiyodō is the cave named from lore of a samurai general “Kagekiyo”. He was defeated and retreated into the cave about 800 years ago. The highlights of the cave were the beautiful walls and ceiling as if some patterns are engraved, and fossils of corals and others.
Next to the cave, there is a hot spring facility called Tron onsen. ⬇️

出会ってから早10年です。嫁ぎ先の農業や姑さんの介護をしながら、タクシー運転手やさまざまな職業を経験され、現在も季節の移り変わりに合わせ、家族とともに種々の野菜や食品をつくられています。不思議な魅力の持ち主です。これまで３回インタビューをとおして、孫であるももちゃんへの変わらない愛情が一環して伝わってきます。
【EN】
It has been ten years since we met. Ms. Kojima worked as a taxi driver and in various other roles while farming and caring for her mother-in-law. Drawn by her mysterious charm, we have interviewed her three times so far, and her love for her grandson, Momo, is evident.

【JP】宇山さんは元石油タンカーの操舵手で、早期退職後地元に戻り農家を引き継ぎました。小さいころから絵を描くのが得意で、青景プロジェクトにおいても過去10年間、幻想的なフィルム写真で人びとを魅了してきました。
最近、地域の営農組合の代表を退いたものの、生産の手間ゆえに希少価値の高い米の品種Miho No Kaoriの生産に挑戦されています。現在の米不足の日本において、その粘り強さ、持続力や、自然体で気候の変化に挑むその力の源泉はどこからくるのでしょうか。お話を伺いました。
【EN】Mr. Uyama is a former oil tanker steersman who took early retirement and returned to his home town to take over his family's farming business. He has been good at drawing pictures since he was a child, and for the past 10 years he has been captivating our followers with his fantastic analogue photography in Aokage project.
He has recently retired from his position as head of the local farmers' association, yet still grows a rare variety of rice called Miho No Kaori, which is highly prized due to the time and effort involved in its production. We spoke to him about the source of his tenacity, persistence and natural ability to tackle climate challenges in Japan, where rice is currently in short supply.
