On this Indonesian Independence Day, we’re taking a moment to ask a different question: what if independence didn’t mean separation, but wholeness?

In nature, regeneration only happens through interconnectedness. So maybe the independence worth celebrating isn’t about cutting ourselves off. It’s about becoming whole within, so we can show up more fully connected: to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us. 🤍

And by being more connected to each other, may we also grow together into a more connected community.

What a wonderful wrap-up to the week with our game session! 🎊

It was full of laughter and conversations that kept going long after the games ended. We had so much fun playing, exchanging thoughts and knowledge, learning from each other, and building connections with the new people we met along the way.

There’s something about playing a game together; shared laughter, friendly competition - before you know it, strangers feel like old friends. That’s exactly what last week’s RFG was all about: using games as a bridge to real connection.

To everyone who joined us - thank you for bringing your energy and openness. And a huge thank you to Yayasan Penyu Indonesia & SEKOLAH BERJASA for helping make this event happen 💚

We still can’t move on from the fun we had at the Amazing Impact Race, so here’s more of it 🎉

Having fun through sorting clothes for a second life, spice-hunting like true herbalists, learning to protect sea turtles, and building with reclaimed materials, the challenges we had to solve was indeed a lesson in disguise (and a total blast!)

Important Announcement: Impact Heroes Class of 2027 applications won’t open this year. 🌱

Not a pause - but indeed a turn inward, to move forward. After years walking with changemakers, we’ve learned that lasting impact starts from within. So we’re dedicating this year to deepening the Impact Heroes Support Program, not just the growth of our Heroes’ organizations, but their inner well-being too.

We did this once before, in 2020, and it changed everything. This time, we go deeper.

As the Vietnamese monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh said, “The way out is in.”

Class of 2026 Heroes and our Impact Heroes of the Year continue to have our full support. Impact Heroes will return with applications for the Class of 2028.
