Hello, we live in Japan (hyogo) and we have a small private animal rescue. We take care of wild animals and pets. we do birds, rodents and insects.

depends on the case also cats. We always offer help by giving advices, so feel free to ask us.

We caught a really shy kitten! He will stay with us for a while. We actually don't take animals anymore in, because of the space, but we couldn't look away.
Now, that we already donated all cages ect. Does anyone has a cat cage (small not big)? The red one is really not handy and when the cat moves after a week to the living room, it will take all space 😫

Now I took a long break of everything, I can slowly start again. Recently I started to write books again, but in german.

Few of them will be translated in English. Stories about dogs, cats and children books.

My 2 big stories will be only in german sadly, because my English skills aren't enough to translate 400+ pages books.

Rikers muzzle from germany arrived.
He doesnt bite, but its always good to have one, you never know. There are also situations where a muzzle is neccessary by rules.

I got one from germany, because here are all too small. A dog should still open his mouth to regular his temperature. It should be short, that the dog still can smell or drink.

He has one summer muzzle (black one), its more deep, so he can completely open his mouth. I still need to change the fabric, which covers his nose. It needs to be shorter, to make it more comfortable.

The winter muzzle is the silver one, there i only need to make it a bit more wide.

He also uses muzzles on dog runs, because he plays rough with small dogs, before an accident happens, he wear a muzzle if he behaves like that (only if he do it)

If you need a muzzle for your dog, please buy one, which is deep enough, that he can open his mouth wide! And not too long (like the black one, i still need to make it shorter), that the dog can smell and drink

Hello, we need your help.

We are full (and taking a break, because we have a newborn in the house)

A friend found a beautiful cat outside, he is really thin and a stray.

Best would be to find a new home for him, or a shelter.
If somebody wants to adopt him, we will do the blood test ect in advance.
Of course there will be adoption fee ect, because we need also to pay the vet.

If a shelter takes him, of course no fee and it would be great if the shelter do the vet tests. I cant leave the house, because of our newborn and we live in the mountains.

More information will come, my friend worked before at the veterinary and will check if he is neutered ect.

We dont know his age! But he is friendly.

We are starting our new year cleaning and tidy up! (We wanna enter clean into the new year ^_^)

The money goes into food, litter and supplies for the cats, rats, birds, guinea pigs and hedgehog ^_^
And of course a new dog toy!

We are back!
Sorry, we were long time silent ^_^
On 20th our son was born, we needed a bit longer to recover. I will be available for questions and help, but we can't take any emergency in yet.
Our son was born due surgery, because he was 2 weeks too late. I still can't do so many things yet, because of the surgery wound + a really hungry baby 🙈

HANABI IS ADOPTED ^_^

Hanabi

He and 2 siblings came to us, when they were 20 days ols. They were found in the trash.
Hanabi was the weakest one and I had to stay awake 2 nights, because he lost his body temperature.
He was a picky eater and had to stay in my clothes.
He grew really fast and is now a big healthy cat.
Now he is 4 month old and will be neutered soon, 3rd vaccine will also come (little delay because of my pregnancy).
FIV/FELV negativ.

He will be a big cat, his body shape is slim with long legs, his face is also long.
We have here other cats and also dogs and he is not a fan of other cats or dogs!
Even that he grew up with dogs, he hates them and he is not a fan of cats who are too active, he preferes playful but calm cats.
He is playful and enjoys to be pet, but he isn't a big fan of holding.

At the beginning, he is shy, but when he get used, he will start talking a lot, walking around your legs and purrs like crazy.
He is used to wet and dry food (we offer both, because some cats doesn't drink enough, which can cause urinal stones, so the wet food gives more liquid).
He is clean and uses the toilet, he loves it to use the toilet just after cleaning. Like most of the cats 🤣

We are looking for a home without dogs and small children, he is not a fan of an loud environment.
Another cat is fine, if the cat is not too offensive and get well with other cats.
He uses scratching tools and at our rescue, he doesn't attack our tatami often.

He can go to his new home, after the last vaccine, neuter and a home visit.
There is also an adoption fee which covers all veterinary cost which we paid for him.
We will also give you the veterinary bills, vaccine proof ect. That you have all important paper with you and can check, which treatment he got.
He had light cat flue (now healthy)
Fleas (got treatment)
If you want him chipped, we can also do that and check the cost ^_^

I want to thanks to all people who helped us.
The latest, was a German who gave us flea medicine for the cats. They are officially free from fleas.

I will try to make more pictures and videos for you :)

Recently one of woman's old instinct is taking over my mind.

Nesting..... im nervously tidying up, cleaning and organizing all baby stuff.
If im talking a bit harsh, its usually now the hormones and im sorry for that. 🙈
Only few days left, in that period i will be sometimes a bit quiet.
After the baby is there and i got used to the baby shedule, i willgive you more updates ^_^

Sadly I get many mails to my private account with the same questions.

"Do you still have the cat?"
"Is it for free?"

Usually it's the only text I get, I tried so many times to be friendly and explain the guidelines ect. But always I never got an answer again.
Only those 2 sentences.

Im sorry, but if I want to adopt an animal, I never ask if its for free. I tell about myself and why I'm interested in the pet.
They are family and living creatures. The fee is just to cover the veterinary cost, which would be more expensive for you, if you do it by yourself.

For me means that already, that i won't give a cat to you.

Its happened so often now and im pretty sure somebody spread the rumor, that i have free cats. If you read that. PLEASE STOP
I got again this mail and it makes me just sad.

Why we dont give cats for free? Here are some reasons.

1. I let all vaccine done, neuter first, do all vet checks ect. That is expensive! Im not that rich, that i cover all and say, here for free!

2. Many free cats and kittens are used for dogs fights as prey! I know that, we own a pitbull, but he is not a fighter. Many people give kittens for free, they mean it good, but there are many bad people. They don't spent 20.000¥ for a cat, which anyway get killed.

3. Cats cost money in future too. If somebody can't pay 20.000 to 30.000¥ (around our fee) for a cat, cant pay future veterinary cost ect. They are living creatures, family, which needs the best treatment, thats expensive.

4. Especially black cats are used in voodoo, they believe, if they slaughter a black cat, they get their wished granted. Why i know that? Im half Brazilian and sadly voodoo exist there too and now in japan too.

We RESCUE them, we spent a lot of time and money. Of course we will check everybody who want to adopt one of our rescues, because we spent all of our time and money for them, that they get a great future.
