The 27th Fukushima Dialogue, Impressions of Hometown: Voices from Fukushima Residents – Where do we come from, and where are we going?
held on December 6–7, 2025, has successfully come to a close.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us in person or online, and to all those who supported and followed this dialogue in various ways.
During this Dialogue, participants from diverse backgrounds — including evacuees, those who have returned to their hometowns, people living elsewhere, and those who moved to Fukushima after the disaster — shared their honest reflections on what “hometown” means to them.
It became a quiet yet meaningful space to listen to voices that cannot be defined simply by where one lives, but by the connections between people, memories, and place.
A Summary of the Discussions is now available, capturing key exchanges and reflections from the Dialogue. We hope you will take a moment to read it.
In 2026, we will continue to value dialogue and to listen carefully to each individual voice as we move forward together.
Thank you again for your continued interest and support.
