桜の季節が来ました。花見には行ってきましたか？私は、週末に平和記念公園で花見をしました～！
川沿いで花見をしている人たちを見て、今月は韓国ではこの桜のシーズンどう過ごすか等について紹介しようと思います。
まず、韓国には、残念ながら花見の文化がないです。満開した桜を見るために、友達や家族と公園に行って写真を撮ったりはしますが、木の下で本格的にブルーシートを敷いて、友達や家族と食べ物を食べたり、飲み物を飲んだり、場所取りのため朝早く出たりする文化はないです。また、韓国の大学生にはちょうどこの時期が中間テストの時期で、テストの準備で忙しくて遊べないので、一番大変なシーズンです。私も家で勉強をしながら、「桜エンディング」というこの時期の名曲を繰り返して聞きました。最後に、桜に関する迷信ですが、落ちていく桜の葉っぱを手でつかむと初恋が叶うという迷信があります。迷信なので、理由はわかりませんが、この時期は桜の木の下で葉っぱが落ちてくるのを待っている人が多いです。
日本とは違う韓国の桜・花見文化について紹介しましたが、両国同じく落ちていく花びらを見て、日本では「花吹雪」、韓国では「花雨、花雪」と呼びます。花雪が終わる前に今年の花見を楽しんでください～！

The sakura season is here. Did everyone manage to partake in flower-viewing? I managed to go during the weekend!
Looking at all the people enjoying the view along the river, I figured I should maybe introduce a bit of how we spend this season in Korea.
First of all, we unfortunately don't have a flower-viewing custom in Korea. We do tend to go with friends and family to the park to take pictures, but we don't have the same custom as Japan where people will sit under the trees to eat and drink.
In addition to that, in Korea this is a time where university students have tests, so it's a very busy time for younger people and they're all too busy studying to just hang out.
I remember I also used to sit at home during this season, studying while listening to the song "Cherry Blossom Ending".
We also have a certain superstition in Korea, where if you manage to catch a falling petal with your hands, you will be granted your first love. It's just a superstition, so I don't know why, but you always see a lot of people in parks waiting for the petals to come down.
These are some of the cultural differences between Japan and Korea with regards to sakura, but in both languages we do have an expression for watching the petals fall, in Japan it's expressed as a "sakura breeze" while in Korea we alude to a sort of "sakura snowing".

Ya llego la temporada de sakura. Pudieron ir a ver las flores? Yo pude ir a verlas el fin de semana en el parque de la paz!
Ver a las demas personas disfrutando las flores por el rio me hizo pensar que deberia hablarles un poco sobre como se pasa esta temporada den Corea.
Primeramente, desafortunadamente no se tiene esta cultura de ver las flores en Corea.
Cuando florecen los sakuras, si se va con la familia y los amigos al parque a tomar fotos, pero no tenemos esa costumbre de sentarse bajo los arboles a comer y tomar, ni de tener que salir temprano en la mañana a asegurar un lugar.
Aparte, para los universitarios, esta es temporada de examenes asi que generalmente estan muy ocupados estudiando como para poder pasearse y es una temporada muy dificil para ellos.
Cuando era estudiante tambien solia pasar esta temporada estudiando en casa mientras escuchaba la cancion "Cherry Blossom Ending".
Tambien tenemos esta creencia sobre los sakura, que si logras atrapar un petalo que esta cayendo, se te consedera el primer amor. Es solo una supersticion, asi que no entiendo bien por que, pero durante esta temporada se pueden ver muchas personas esperando a que caigan los petalos.
La cultura en torno a los sakura difiere entre Corea y Japon, pero en ambos tenemos palabras para expresar como vemos caer los petalos. En Japon se le llama brisa de sakura, mientras que en Corea es mas cercano a una nevada de sakuras.
Espero que todos logren ir a ver los arboles antes de que acabe la temporada!

벚꽃의 계절이 왔습니다. 벚꽃놀이는 다녀오셨나요? 저는 주말에 평화기념공원에 벚꽃놀이를 다녀왔습니다~!
강가에서 벚꽃놀이를 즐기는 사람들을 보고 이번달에는 한국에서는 이 벚꽃시즌을 어떻게 보내는지 등에 대해 소개해야겠다고 생각했습니다.
우선, 한국에는 아쉽게도 하나미 문화는 없습니다. 만개한 벚꽃을 보기 위해서 친구나 가족들과 공원에 가서 사진을 찍기는 하지만, 나무아래에서 본격적으로 돗자리를 깔고 친구와 가족들과 음식을 먹고 마시거나 자리를 잡기 위해 아침 일찍 나가는 문화는 없습니다. 또, 한국에서는 딱 이 시기가 대학생들의 중간고사 시기라 시험준비로 바빠서 꽃놀이를 할 수 없기 때문에 제일 힘든시기이기도 합니다. 저도 집에서 공부를 하면서 이 계절의 명곡인 "벚꽃엔딩"을 몇번이나 반복해서 들었습니다. 마지막으로, 벚꽃에 관한 미신으로 떨어지는 벚꽃잎을 손으로 잡으면 첫사랑이 이루어진다는 미신이 있습니다. 미신이라 특별한 이유는 없지만, 이 시기 벚꽃나무 아래에서 벚꽃잎이 떨어지길 기다리는 사람들을 많이 볼 수 있습니다.
일본과는 다른 한국의 벚꽃, 벚꽃놀이 문화에 대해서 소개드렸는데요. 양국가 모두 떨어지는 벚꽃을 일본에서는 "꽃보라", 한국에서는 "꽃비, 꽃눈"으로 부릅니다. 여러분도 꼭! 꽃눈이 끝나기 전에 벚꽃놀이 즐기러 가보세요~!
